Is this how to pick a president to vote for? NO!

From CNN.com and Larry King Live Interview with Chris Rock, supporter of Barack Obama.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain is just holding on like a boxer before he gets knocked out, comedian Chris Rock says.
Comedian Chris Rock told Larry King he's proud of Barack Obama's character.

Comedian Chris Rock told Larry King he's proud of Barack Obama's character.

Rock, an avid supporter of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, spoke with CNN's Larry King on Thursday. He said Obama is more grounded with your average American -- not somebody like McCain with "12 houses."

"The other guy [McCain] can lose five houses," Rock said.

"I'll go with the guy with one house. The guy with one house is scared about losing his house." Video Watch Chris Rock describe a beaten up McCain »

King began the interview by asking Rock about Thursday's economic bailout talks when Obama and McCain went to the White House for discussions with the nation's top leaders.

KING: Obama and McCain at opposite ends of the table. What do you make of it?

ROCK: What do I make of it? If this was a boxing match, McCain would be holding.

KING: Holding on?

ROCK: Yes. It's like he got hit really hard in the stomach like, 'OK. I can't let him go. He's going to knock me out.' So that's what appears to be going on right now. Just a hold.

KING: Has the financial crisis affected you?

ROCK: Larry, I drove a cab over here tonight. When it's over, I'm going to try to pick up some more fares. I'm losing everything, Larry.

KING: Really downtrodden?

ROCK: Yes, it's real bad.

KING: Have HBO paid you already?

ROCK: They have paid me, but the money is worthless now. Haven't you heard? Your money's worth nothing.

KING: You must be ... proud that at this stage in our history a black man is running for president on a major ticket.

ROCK: Um, you know what? I'm proud Barack Obama's running for president. You know? If it was Flavor Flav, would I be proud? No. I don't support Barack Obama because he's black.

KING: I said just as a proud feeling. That's normal.

ROCK: There's a proud feeling because of the character of the man. You know, I was -- I supported John Kerry and, you know -- and what's my man? Al Gore.

KING: Al Gore.

ROCK: But this guy seems to be a little bit more. He seems to have watched other peoples' mistakes and, you know, seems to have a little bit more going on.

KING: From a comedic stand point, who is funnier, McCain or Obama? Seriously. Is Obama not -- it's hard to be funny about Obama?

ROCK: No, no. It's weird. People ask me that all the time. ... McCain jokes are just easy jokes, like I don't want a president with a bucket list. That's like a McCain joke. Those jokes are easy. It's like you basically, you know, you know, take the dust off your Reagan jokes and tell them again. You know?

But Obama, oh, this is a whole new set of jokes. I got to find a whole new move to the basket here. So I kind of hope he wins.

KING: Didn't you introduce Obama at a rally?

ROCK: I introduced Obama at the Apollo Theater not too long ago. I think Obama would be great. I mean, just look the big thing right now is the economy. And people are going broke. And here: The choice isn't Republican or Democrat. The choice is you got a guy that's worth $150 million with 12 houses against a guy who's worth a million dollars with one house.

KING: Well --

ROCK: The guy with one house really cares about losing a house, because he is homeless. The other guy can lose five houses and still got a bunch of houses. Does this make any sense? Am I the only one that sees this?

KING: It's unique way of ...

ROCK: I'm just saying, John McCain could lose half his houses.

KING: You got a point.

ROCK: And sleep well.

KING: You and Bill Clinton were on Letterman on Tuesday. You had some problems with the tone of his endorsement of Barack Obama. ... Do you think Bill is hesitant about Barack Obama?

ROCK: You know what? You know, he did a great speech in Denver. And Hillary's been on the campaign trail. Just at that moment, if you watched what happened on David Letterman, it appeared he was holding back. And when you tell a joke and everybody laughs, it is not because they disagree with what you're saying. So --

KING: They get it?

ROCK: Yes, they get it. The whole audience was in on it. But, you know, hey, the guy's in a weird position there. His wife ran for the thing and she didn't win.

KING: The next night, on "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart asked Clinton about the Letterman appearance and Clinton suggested that Obama supporters who questioned commitment are missing the point.

ROCK: It was great. It was great. And you're right, [Obama] does need to get some of the votes that went to Hillary and all that. I don't understand any Democrat that voted for Hillary that doesn't support Obama. Because their views are pretty similar. You know what I mean? ...

I understand people supporting Mr. McCain. But a Democrat that's going to just be mad is -- there's something kind of really messed up about that.

KING: Have you always done political humor?

ROCK: You know --

KING: When you started, did you do politics?

ROCK: I'm interested in the world. Jon Stewart does political humor. Bill Maher does political humor. I talk about stuff the way guys would talk about it at the barber shop. I don't belong on any panel on this show. You know what I mean? I don't deserve to be near Roland Martin and Anderson Cooper and all these guys. I try to talk about politics in a way a guy that works at UPS would understand.

KING: You did a lot of Brooklyn stuff.

ROCK: I do all sorts of stuff, Larry. All sorts of stuff. You know, I hope Obama wins just because, you know, the country needs it. The country needs a change. We kind of seen what this whole McCain thing is. And I'll go with the guy with one house. The guy with one house is scared about losing his house.

KING: I never thought of it that way.

ROCK: It is that simple.

The Perspective:

You've got to be fucking kiddin' me. I had planned on blogging about an international issue(north korea) but this was just to damn good to pass up.

Now we all know who Chris Rock is. One of the best comedians to ever live. Plain and simple. So why is this interview so outrageous? Go ahead and read it. You'll understand.

The comments he makes about why he is choosing Obama is crazy. He has one house! Big fucking deal. When you consider that his home costs 2 million dollars!! You tell me how many average Americans own 2 million dollar homes!! I'm an average American. I fucking wish my house was worth 2 millions dollars.

It wrong, wrong, and wrong. You don't choose a person to vote for, for reasons that Mr. Rock talked about. Its all about the issues. Issues, issues. Not homes, and how many homes that they own. Was he being funny sure...but still. At least act like you care. You are on Larry King Live...

And The Race Begins...

The time has come. McCain and Obama will finally debate.

The topic: World Events and International Relations
When: 9:00pm EST, 1900 hrs WT
Where: Ol' Miss Campus
Cost:5 Million USD
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your an American, you can't turn on your TV without seeing a political ad. You can't watch you local news without seeing and hearing something about one of the closest elections ever. Not to mention the 24hr news coverage of every little fucking thing that these 2 men do. If Obama takes a smoke break or McCain takes his ginkgo, we know.

So what the fuck is the deal? Why in hell is this so important? I'll tell ya.

We finally get to hear their points of view on the ISSUES. No more attacks, no more he said she said. Just the 'Straight Talk" that McCain as been saying this entire election.

The Upper hand? McCain. While Obama has had nearly 3 times the total debates that McCain has, this is Johns home turf. He is an expert in world events and international relations. Be it with Iran, Iraq, Venezuela, Russia, Israel, you name it he knows about it.

But don't think that Obama, will just sit down and let McCain take all the glory. Fuck no. The Junior Senator from Illinois will give Johna good fight, and make him work for a win.

The Turning Point:McCain knows people. Presidents of foreign nations, he has personal friendships with people all over the world. That will push John over the finish line.

So watch and listen....this is where the real fun begins.

The 700 Billion Dollar Question

The Perspective: So, what would you do with 700 Billion Dollars?

Well as I've mentioned in the(Its Official: America Is A Mess) Congress and the Bush Administration wants to pass a 700 Billion dollar buyout deal. While the original deal, was completely wrong in a number of ways.

For example. In the original deal, CEO's and Presidents of companies that we plan to bail out would get money! if the deal failed and it caused that company to fail. This can't happen. And for once Congress didn't let it happen.(at least that is what I've heard about this 'new' bill). Also, in the original bill we, the taxpayers weren't covered. When you consider that the money being used to make this is is TAXPAYER dollars, we need to be covered. So to cover the American Congress again(wow twice in one day!!) re-wrote parts of the bill so that it will cover us.

To prove this I'll use an example. If we buy the items that are ''stuffing up the market" for .10 cents on the dollar it should cost around 700 Billion. If this bill works, and we get to the point where we can sell back this "stuff" then we hopefully can sell it for upwards of .30 or .40 cents on the dollar. If that happens we can make Trillions(yes with a T) in profit.

So maybe just once(sorry thats twice in one day), this 110th Congress got something right.

To do this John McCain suspended his Campaign, so he could go to Washington and work on the bill. He and Obama met with President George 'Dubah' Bush today at the White House. At this moment it seems that he will still miss the debate on Friday where NoBama will continue his course of talking and doing nothing.(Sorry...thats biased)

But in response Obama, told McCain that if he needs me call. Otherwise to basically, handle this shit yourself. Go ahead lose the election and I'll reap the rewards.(Sue me, I'm even now...this is biased too.)

Until then, lets hope that this bill the, 'good' one gets passed and we can start rebuilding this former great nation and get out of this fucking mess.

PS: Hardt...stay safe Brother. Ooooahhh!!

This fuckin' guy...

News Highlights:

  • Iranian president at U.N.: "A few bullying powers" creating world's problems
  • Ahmadinejad on "Larry King Live": I have no preference between McCain, Obama
  • Ahmadinejad: Attacking Iran would be "worst thing the U.S. government can do"
  • Hostility with the U.S. "has not been from our end," Ahmadinejad says
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Perspective:

This...damn guy. I'll tell ya. I'm tired of hearing this guys Anti-American and Anti-Israel comments.

When he says that the American Empire is nearing an end, where is his proof? Well if you know anything about his viewpoints then you'd know why he believes this. For one, he thinks that the Muslim Messiah will soon appear and being upon the end of the Jewish people and 'American Devil'

Really, are we that bad?

This guy has made numerous comments about bringing about the end of the world, and attacking Israel and the United States. But the real issue? Nuclear weapons.

While according to the NIE(National Intelligence Estimate) Iran stopped using their nuclear program to build weapons in 2003. Thats 5! years ago. To me...the CIA, and NSA better get on the fucking ball and learn some 'newer' info before we decide to attack Iran.(Don't worry, we will)

And again(I sound like a broken record) their alliance with Russia, will only quicken their ability to get a nuclear weapon. Why? Russia is selling nuclear secrets, and nuclear technology. Not to mention that the Russians are helping build the reactors.

In closing...

This guy needs to get with the modern day picture. Stop making your useless threats and if you going to do something, just do it. And do it soon, so we can kick your fucking ass.

The Kremlin: At It Again...

Story Highlights:
  • Kremlin strengthens ties with Venezuela and other Latin American nations
  • Pentagon Official:"It's a show of the Kremlin irritation about the U.S. deployment to Georgia"
  • Russian vessels will conduct joint maneuvers with Venezuelan navy, official says
  • Deployment follows visit to Venezuela by a pair of Russian strategic bombers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Russia...the classic Western 'bad guy'. Why? Well if you look at the way that the Kremlin has acted in recent world events you'd know why. It all began with the U.S. wanting to place a ICBM Defense Shield over the EU(as I've mentioned in earlier blogs) and then they create a military alliance with Iran.(Huge Issue)

But while the Russian influence in the Middle East is mainly a problem for Israel and the EU(which makes it our problem) this alliance with Venezuela is an even bigger problem. Why?

The last time this amount of Russian military equipment was this close to the United States we were in the middle of the Cold War.(Cuban Missile Crisis anyone?) Could this mean something? Maybe, and maybe not. But its still something to be looking out for. Especially when they just sold Iran the S300 Anti-Missile System...that rivals the Patriot Missile System.

This would allow them(Iran) to stop any strike we attempted to do against their Nuclear systems. Not to mention that it could be modified to be used as a missile launching platform. And it could become Iran's very own Missile Defense Shield.

We can't let Mr. Chavez get this equipment. It would likely be a disaster in the making. He could attack us...as well as any nation in South America. And lets not forget, that Russia has also sold Venezuela their small arms weapons. That could mean havoc in the area.

I'll keep everyone posted...

Russia...and Iran, and now Venezuela Huge Issues.

War of Gog and Magog: And How To Learn About It

The Perspective:

I really don't know how many of my readers are believers in The Lord God. But no matter your relationship with God, or if you believe in Him at all,(I do) you need to know about this 'world event' and Bible Prophecy means something to everyone.

To being I'd like to say that I'm not trying to change your beliefs or the way you look at the world. All I can do is inform you as is my God given duty and right.

I've done, a shitload of research on this topic and it I were to place all of my research on my blog, it would take up hundreds(yes hundreds) of pages. To save space, and to allow myself to explain this key event to you I'll have someone else do it for me. (Thanks Joel)

What It Is: The War of God and Magog, is the beginning of the end. Yes that end. The worlds end. Am I crazy? So might think so, others will say that I've got my beliefs in the right places and that I'm spot on with my judgment.

Gog, is the rising of a Czar in Russia.(Magog) This Gog and his nation Magog will ally themselves with modern day Persia(Iran) and multiple nations in the middle east and attack Israel.

Why I Believe This: As I've mentioned multiple times in this blog, Russia is becoming a problem again. The Czar is rising(Putin) and has formed alliances with Iran.(Modern day Persia) And lets not forget who sold weapons to Syria, and who supplied Hezbollah during the war with Israel in 2006.(yes it was Russia(Magog) and Putin(Gog) And there are numerous other reasons that I believe in this.(To many to write...keep reading)

Things To Do:

Read: Ezekiel Chapter 38 and 39. Be sure your reading a King James Version of the Bible. Don't read anything else.

Read: Joel C. Rosenberg's Epicenter 2.0: If you must read the 1.0 version, but be warned that the 2.0 version provides more information and gives a better picture as to what recent events mean.

Read: Rosenberg's The Ezekiel Option: This novel(fiction) is Rosenberg's own personal ideas of what he thinks will happen during The War of Gog and Magog. (I'd just read Epicenter but...its up to you)

Research: Help yourself understand 'The Third Eye' of Scripture by speaking to a pastor, or someone who is very knowledgeable about the Bible.

In closing...just give it a peek. I don't care if your not a Christian, or if your Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or any type of religion. This means something to us all. Please...check it out.

NEWS ALERT

Olmet Hands In Resignation

Thirty-three months after he dramatically filling in for a stroke-stricken Ariel Sharon, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert - facing a number of corruption allegations - formally tendered his resignation to President Shimon Peres on Sunday evening.

Olmert entered and left Beit Hanassi by a side entrance, thereby avoiding the press, and met with Peres for some 30 minutes.

Following the meeting, the president met the media and said this was a "difficult evening" for Olmert, and that he appreciated "the respectful way in which he is handing over his power."

Peres read from a prepared text and thanked Olmert "for his service to the people and the state over the course of many years of public activities."

"The safety of the State of Israel and the welfare of its citizens were central to his actions as prime minister," Peres said, adding that "some of these will remain unknown."

The president said that Israel faced "complicated national, security, economic, and social challenges, requiring constant leadership." Israel was "a strong state and a steadfast democracy, and even the replacement of the prime minister will not harm its strength, its determination to protect its citizens and its commitment to peace."

Olmert's unceremonious resignation appeared to bring to a dizzying end the political career of a man who has been on the public stage for nearly four decades, serving as MK, mayor of Jerusalem and in a number of ministerial posts.

The prime minister, who survived calls for his resignation due to the failures of the Second Lebanon War, was finally brought down by corruption allegations stemming from his relationship with New York businessman Morris Talansky, and double billing charitable organizations for plane tickets in what has come to be known as the Rishon Tours scandal. The police have recommend indictments in both cases, though Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz has yet to decide. Other corruption allegations are also pending.

By submitting his letter of resignation, Olmert set the process of selecting a new prime minister in motion. Even as he was in Beit Hanassi with Peres, Kadima faction members - including Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit, Construction and Housing Minister Ze'ev Boim, and Tzahi Hanegbi - were waiting in the foyer for their meeting with Peres to recommend that the president designate the new Kadima chairman, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, to form a government.

If, as expected, Peres does - after consulting with all 13 Knesset factions - choose Livni for that task, she will have 42 days to complete the job, and if she fails the country would likely go to early elections three months later.

In addition to meeting the Kadima faction, Peres also met with Labor, Likud and Shas representatives on Sunday night.

He is set to meet the rest of the factions on Monday, before flying to the US to represent Israel at the UN General Assembly meeting. He is expected to assign Livni the task of forming a government before he goes.

Olmert, who promised the country some two months ago - as the Talansky and Rishon Tours affairs were unfolding in public - that he would resign after the Kadima primary, was true to his word, announcing his intention to do so at Sunday's cabinet meeting.

While there was some speculation about whether the prime minister would go to the president immediately or wait another week until Peres returned from the US, Cabinet Secretary Ovad Yehezkel ended the suspense by announcing in the early afternoon that Olmert would submit his letter of resignation that evening. The reason, Yehezkel said, was because Olmert wanted to honor his commitment given to the country, and to ensure an orderly transfer of power. Livni also reportedly asked Olmert to set the process in motion immediately.

Olmert, in his letter to the president, succinctly wrote that "pursuant to Article 19 of the Basic Law: The Government, and after having notified the government of my intention to do so, I submit to you my resignation as prime minister."

Officials in Olmert's office said that he would, however, remain prime minister until a new government was formed, a process that could - if the country goes to early elections - take up to seven months.

Olmert's resignation an-nouncement to the cabinet came at the beginning of the meeting, after he spoke on a number of other issues, including the global economic crisis, the recent Israeli sporting achievements at the Beijing Paralympics, and the national basketball team's improbable 37-point victory over the Czech Republic that assured it a place in next year's EuroBasket tournament.

"Whoever saw what happened last night could not but be amazed," Olmert - an avid sports fan - said in the meeting, to the laughter of the ministers who were waiting to hear his dramatic resignation announcement. The prime minister spent a good four minutes discussing the game and the way Israel managed to make it into next year's tournament.

Olmert then notified the government of his intention to resign.

"I have decided to resign as prime minister of Israel," he announced. "This was not an easy decision, or a simple one. This was a difficult decision with serious misgivings, but I think I am acting in an appropriate manner, as I have promised the people of Israel.

"I think that this government has done good things - some that we are able to speak about, and others that we are not," he continued. "[These acts] will be written in the pages of history, and will be a source of pride to all those who participated in them.

"I hope that Tzipi Livni forms a government as quickly as possible," he said. "I will help her and stand by her during the process. People like me and a few others, like [Defense Minister Ehud] Barak know how difficult it is to establish and lead a government."

Olmert then turned and shook Livni's hand. The new Kadima leader, who was sitting next to Olmert, made no comment, and the cabinet meeting turned to other business.

It did so, however, without the presence of Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, who lost to Livni by 431 votes in the Kadima primary last week and has since announced that he was taking a "time out" from politics. He has not, however, formally resigned his ministerial position.

Acting Knesset Speaker MK Otniel Schneller (Kadima) submitted a letter to Olmert earlier Sunday in which he called on him to postpone his resignation.

Schneller will be the acting president while Peres is New York, as well as acting Knesset speaker while Dalia Itzik is in the US.

In his letter, Schneller requested of Olmert that, following an agreement that had been reached by all Knesset groups (apart for one whose name he refused to give), he postpone his resignation until Peres's return.

"The Knesset cannot dismiss the law it wrote allowing MKs and the president seven days of consultation before he [the president] chooses who would be able to establish a government successfully," Schneller told The Jerusalem Post.
